Win number 12 for the Men’s team of Levski in National Basketball League in Bulgaria. In front of 750 spectators in the Universiada Hall in Sofia they beat Yambol in a very good to watch game with a score 89-83 and enter with a win the upcoming derby versus Lukoil Academic in Pravets next Friday. The match brought lot of fun for the fans in the gym as both teams played well while the game was pretty even for most of it. However, at the end the class of Levski was one idea higher and they won for the third time this season against Yambol. Levski now has 12 wins and 3 losses after this round and still keep those hopes that they can overtake Lukoil Academic in the battle for first place at the end of regular season in NBL. Now, in the game against Lukoil Academic they are in a must win situation which will keep they hopes alive. Yambol, which proved to be a hard nut to crack is the fourth in the standings with a total of 8 wins and 7 losses.
Once again it was Aaron Harper to take over in the decisive moments of the game. He finished with 33 points anddished 5 assists. That helped him to take over the first place on the scorers list against today’s oponent - Martin Durchev from Yambol. Marcus Hall added 13 points and Hrisimir Dimitrov had excellent game with 11 points and 8 rebounds.
For Yambol Durchev was a top scorer with 21 points and Stanislav Govedarov added 19.
Now we all look forward for the upcoming week when Levski will visit Lukoil Academic in their third derby of the season. So far the team from Pravets has two wins over Levski but Titi Papazov and company hope to break this series in their favor.
