Levski finished the first of four parts of the season in Men’s National League at the second place. In the match between the third and second The "Blues" hold Cherno More in Varna with double digit ten points win 87-77. In the next round, forst of second part of the season Levski will visit Yambol while Cherno more play at home versus Rilski Sportist Samokov.
There were several exchanges of leadership in the first quarter, but overall the game was equal, and after ten minutes and the result showed 21-21.
The second quarter started strong for the hosts who had a series of 10-2 and drew. However The "Blues" leveled at 39-39 before five straight points Aleksandar Yanev brought the hosts ahead again. At the last second of the first half Aaron Harper scored behind the 3-point line and it ended in a 44-42 result for the home team of Cherno More.
In the second half both teams exchanged the lead several times as Americans Harper and Marcus Hall were at the heart of the best performances of the team of Levski. They forced few turnovers at the end of third quarter which resulted in 9 points lead after 30 minutes of play – 66-57.
Levski continue to lead in the fourth quarter, and a 3-pointer by Jordan Bozov made a difference to rise to double digit for the first time – 77-65. From this point on visitors showed more experienced play and had no problem to closed the game at 87-77 without any problems.
Aaron Harper was the top scorer for the winners with 32 points. Marcus Hall added 20 and Vassil Evtimov had another double-double performance with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Alexander Yanev managed 22 points for the home team while another youngster Vassil Kyosev added 12 points.
