Levski lost in Hungary

October 25, 2014

Szolnoki Olaj stays confident on home court, since after beating Levski in the fifth round of ABA League, they are now on a 3/4 win/loss ratio in Tiszaliget Sports Hall this season.

The game was not as one-sided as one might consider after taking a look at the final result. The guests opened the game strongly and led 13:5 after seven minutes. However, Szolnoki Olaj replied with a 14:2 run and were in front by a point after the end of the first quarter of the game.

The same story repeated in the second quarter, when Levski head coach Konstantin Papazov was satisfied with the way his squad started the period, but the home side finished the half time with a 14:3 run and was in front by 8 points after 20 minutes.

In the second part of the game, the home side just confirmed that they were the better team in this clash and deservedly kept the two points at home with the final score 81:67.

Stefan Sinovec was the top scorer of the winning side with 19 points. For Levski Hristo Zahariev had 13.
