Kostov made his debut, Levski grabbed the lead versus Spartak

In the game without too much tension Levski started their participation in a Men playoffs for season 2011/12. They easily got 92-76 victory over Spartak in the first game from quarterfinals in the playoffs of National Basketball League. From the first up to the last minute of the game Levski had control of the match, and that fact led to easy success over their rivals. The second match of the series is on May 3 (Thursday) at 18.00 o'clock local time in Pleven. Eventual success for Levski will mean qualification for the next Round of the playoffs in Bulgarian League.

The game marked the return to the club of Chavdar Kostov, who made official debut after signing last week until the end of the season. He spent on the court 23 minutes and finished with 9 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists and 2 steals leaving very good impression with your game in the first game with the club.

Coach Titi Papazov used every single player of his roster without slightly injured Marcus Hall. Aaron Harper and Vassil Evtimov were most effective with 15 points, while the center added 11 rebounds for another double-double. Very good Dimitar Angelov scored 13 points off the bench and Pavel Ivanov finished with 10 points.

Top scorer in the game was guard Alexander Diakovski from Spartak with 24 points.

In other series Yambol beat Balkan in very tough game at home by the score 81-74 and now leads 1-0. In the remaining two games we got one surprise. Rilski Sportist lost the home court advantage as they lost to Cherno More by a single point - 75-76. Now they have to win in Varna to save the season. In the last quarterfinal series Lukoil Academic beat Chernomorets without much problems -  94-69.
