Levski got closer to Lukoil at the table in Bulgaria

Levski used the loss of Lukoil Academic in Yambol and after a good game in Burgas cut the distance between the two favorites for the title at the top of the table. They beat Chernomorets by the score 88-76 and now they are just one win from their rival for first place in the final standings of the regular season. Just a remainder, if Levski and Lukoil Academic win all six matches against other opponents, the match between them in "Universiada" will decide the first place and home-advantage in the playoffs. Levski need the difference of 14 points in this and they will finish first at the table.

Earlier last night Levski prevent any surprise and routinely beat Chernomorets with 12 points difference. The advantage of “The Blues" was much bigger, however in this game the most important thing was the victory, and not the difference. The host team stay closed for three quarters but in the beginning of the last ten minutes Levski run away by more than 20 points and the winner was well known.

After missing the meeting with Napredak in Krusevac earlier in the week, Marcus Hall was a top scorer for the club with 23 points as he added also 5 assists. Stefan Georgiev - Toro managed 16 points and 8 rebounds while Dimitar Angelov ended with 14 points and 5 boards.

For the home team Dejan Dunovic scored 24 points and Kiril Pavlovski added 19 points.

At the end of this week, on March 2 (Friday) at 17.30 local time in "Universiada" Levski will play versus Rilski Sportist Samokov in a game that everyone expected to happen in the semis of the cup of Bulgaria. However this game will be from next round of the National Basketball League.
